Love made its controversial World Premiere at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. Love opens in NYC on October 30th and hits additional markets and online November 6th. Despite its marketing touting the film's 3D and X-rating, our own Phil Brown called Love "the softest of the director’s movies. However, this first taste gives a good sense of the visual style and somewhat erratic and non-linear storytelling. The trailer gives a relatively safe-for-work peek into Murphy's memories, but the full feature is reportedly much more graphic. Starring Karl Glusman as Murphy, a lovesick young man who wakes up on New Year's Day to learn that his ex-girlfriend Electra ( Aomi Muyock) has been missing for months, Love follows his journey over the course of a long, rainy day as he reflects back on the two years he spent with the love of his life. Now, audiences all around the world will get a chance to glimpse this 3D, X-rated love story thanks to the premiere of the first trailer. Director Gaspar Noé's controversial drama Love made its debut earlier this year at Cannes before making the rounds through the festival circuit, most recently playing in Toronto and Athens.
